Apache Rose are exploring the sounds of their influences through the decades on their album with the fittingly exclamatory title Attention!.

The Moscow-based rock four-piece find inspiration in the rock of the 70s to the 90s, which a dash of 00’s alt-rock thrown in. Whether they are exploring grunge, as in the gritty downbeat “Hell”, or catching on hooks and heavy pulsing reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys or The Strokes on “Blind Spot”, there is a sense of passion for the craft.

Part of what unifies this roving record is the drive of the guitar. “Easy” opens the album with a strong melodic repetition and depth, all drawn in by a guitar solo. With “Backdoor Man”, Apache Rose find the fun in the rhythm and swing into a thriving guitar line.

Elsewhere, it is Ilya Novokhatskiy’s vocals that form a through line. “On My Watch” holds notes to create a sense of grandness outside of hookish melodies. The groovy shift of “Hit Me” is an album highlight, and has Novokhatskiy showing a softer side of his range. Title track “Attention!” shifts once again into something effected and slick.

Attention! is bound to grab yours. With a range of genre influences, instrumental excellence, and an ever-present sense of passion, Apache Rose tap into rock and roll history.

Attention! was released on January 27th, 2021. To hear more from Apache Rose, you can find them on their Instagram, SoundCloud, and Facebook page.
